We think it is extremely important to know exactly what you’re putting on your body.  As your body’s largest organ, your skin soaks up 60% of what you put on it, so we think understanding what’s in your products is just as important as what’s in your food.  That’s why we use only plant-based and natural ingredients – that’s ingredients that come directly from nature.

What you WON’T find in our products

  • parabens (or other artificial preservatives)
  • phthalates
  • sulfates
  • artificial fragrances (we use only pure essential oils)
  • artificial colors
  • petroleum ingredients

What you WILL find in our products

All of the ingredients in our products are vegetarian-friendly, and most are vegan, and they all posess beneficial properties that make our finished products luxurious and healthy.  If we don’t know what it is, you won’t find it in our products.  Here are some of our favorite ingredients and their beneficial properties:

  • Almond oil – known for its ability to soften, smooth and re-condition the skin.
  • Avocado oil – moisturizing oil that’s great for sensitive skin.  High in vitamins A, D, and E
  • Beeswax – helps skin retain moisture; adds hardness to solid lotions, lip balms and soaps
  • Castor oil – rich, creamy oil that gives great lather to soaps
  • Clays, including bentonite, kaolin, rose and French green -
  • Cocoa butter, unrefined – extracted from the cocoa plant, the unrefined version that we use is not only a great moisturizer with lots of natural antioxidants, but it smells like chocolate
  • Coconut oil – gives great lather to soap and makes a long-lasting bar.  Also a great natural cleaning agent – used in all of our soaps
  • Coffee – antioxidant rich and great for the skin
  • Essential oils
  • Fresh fruit juices
  • Green tea extract
  • Ground herbs and spices (including cinnamon, rosemary, tea, parsley, poppy seeds)
  • Ground oats
  • Jojoba oil – a liquid wax that is very similar to our own sebum, making it easy to absorb and highly moisturizing.
  • Mango butter – thick, rich plant butter known for its moisturizing, healing and anti-aging properties
  • Olive oil – makes soap moisturizing and hard
  • Raw honey – acts as a humectants, drawing moisture into the skin
  • Shea butter, unrefined – thick and moisturizing plant butter known for its healing properties and luxurious feel on the skin
  • Sunflower oil – helps retain moisture on the skin, high in vitamin E
