These soap dishes are handmade by an artisan in Oregon from beech wood. They are untreated wood and completely natural, made in the USA.
The beech wood soap dishes fit one of our bars of soap perfectly, and the soap dish has minimal surface area to minimize sticking of the soap. The wide angle channels on these dishes allow water to quickly drain and keep the soap from sitting in a puddle. This extends the life of your bar of soap.
Beech wood is a sustainable hardwood that grows in abundance in North America, and it performs exceptionally well with water and moisture exposure.
Due to the handmade nature of these, slight variations in color and texture are completely normal.
We love the natural wood color of these and use them as is, but these wooden soap dishes may also be stained to match your decor preferences.
